As a working letterpress studio, folio press & paperie ends up with lots of scraps of beautiful paper. In the printing world, these cuttings are called Tails. Instead of these papers going to waste, they end up up-cycling them into notecards, letterpress printed with vintage icons and unique illustrations.

folio press & paperie seeks to promote a return to a slower, friendlier, more reflective, and tactile world. Owners Marlene & Frank Bucy are a wife and husband team who opened their first stationery and print store in 2007. In 2017, with the help of a small vibrant team, folio press & paperie launched a wholesale line of letterpress cards. Today folio press & paperie is a wholesale letterpress studio, a digital print shop and a fine stationery gift store all living together happily under one roof. All folio press & paperie letterpress goods are printed on our Heidleberg Windmill presses from the 1950s and 60s or our 1924 treadle-powered Chandler & Price platen press. Along with our hand-drawn designs, we utilize antique wood and lead type as well as retro icons.
