The Amano brand was started in 2007 when founder & creative director Serena discovered that it was possible to make good quality, on trend, affordable fashion jewelry right here in the USA. She teamed up with East Coast manufacturers to do the heavy lifting like casting & stamping and built a team of craftswomen in Sonoma, California to assemble the jewelry. The metals they use are mostly recycled, and they also use vintage and salvaged components when possible. Design inspiration comes from the street and the runways and maybe most of all from the beauty of Serena's Sonoma home: the Valley of the Moon.
