The Author:
Roya Shariat is a Brooklyn-based author whose debut cookbook "Maman and Me: Recipes from Our Iranian American Family" was published to rave reviews last year. Roya's grown a community of hundreds of thousands of foodies across her TikTok and Instagram, where she spotlights her Iranian heritage and culinary adventures, which most recently took her for a stint at London's River Cafe. Roya also writes a newsletter on pop culture, food, and joy called Consumed. When she's not working in the kitchen or hunched over her laptop writing about food, Roya runs Social Impact and Communications at Glossier, a role she created back in 2018 after bumping into the CEO on the street.
